Week 25

Date: 6/19/15

How far along: 25 weeks

Fruit-size comparison: Cauliflower

Maternity clothes: I love my maternity clothes.  I still need to invest in some warm weather clothing, but I'm still able to wear some pre-pregnancy shirts so that helps.

Weight gain:  13 lbs. at last week's appointment.

Stretch Marks: Not yet.

Sleep: It continues to be better since I've started seeing the chiropractor.

Best moment of the week:  I got to take my cousin and her son to the beach on Monday.  They're from out of state and it was fun to see the reaction of 14 month old Ivan seeing the big lake for the first time.  I can't wait to have those moments with my son someday.

Movement:  This baby moves a lot! I'm starting to feel some bigger movements and I think he might have had hiccups yesterday.  It was so cute.

Cravings: Not this week.  I haven't been able to eat much.:(

Gender: Boy!

Anything making you queasy/sick: Well, I actually had the stomach flu this week so I'm not currently feeling sick, but I certainly was two days ago.

What I miss:  My pre-pregnancy immune system. Not only did I have the stomach flu this week, but I also have a cold.  So I've had two colds and two bouts of the stomach flu since being pregnant.  I'm hoping I can remain healthy for the remainder of the pregnancy.

What I’m looking forward to: Work is almost done! I have less than two weeks to go.  I'm also starting to get dates on the calendar for baby showers.  It will be so fun to celebrate my baby boy.

Symptoms:  I've been getting Braxton-Hicks contractions a lot.  I keep hearing that it's normal and even good for you, but it makes me nervous sometimes.  Lately I get them when I go for a walk and it's really uncomfortable.

Emotions:  This hasn't been the easiest week because of being sick.  I also got a comment from a lady at work about how I look bigger than I should, which is the first time I've gotten a comment like that.  It actually bothered me more than it should have.  So I guess you could say that this hasn't been the easiest pregnancy week.  Hopefully next week will be better.
