Week 18

Date: 5/2/15
How far along: 18 weeks

Fruit-size comparison: Green Pepper
Maternity clothes: I've been wearing maternity pants exclusively.   I don't have a lot of maternity shirts, but I don't feel like the belly is growing that quickly so it doesn't matter yet. I feel like I'm kind of at an awkward stage where maternity clothes are too big, but I don't have a lot of clothing options in my closet.
Weight gain:  Not sure. I was up 5 lbs. at my last appointment and I'm sure it's up a bit since then.
Stretch Marks: Not yet.
Sleep: I'm sleeping well, although I've recently noticed that turning over feels a little more uncomfortable.  There's too much weight in my midsection.:)
Best moment of the week:  This has been a pretty good week.  I got to meet my new niece, who was born yesterday. I can't believe that soon I'll have a little one of my own!
Movement:  I'm pretty sure, but I don't completely trust myself.:)  It has been a lot more consistent this week so I'm hoping it's real.
Cravings: I've been really wanting mashed potatoes lately.
Gender: I will know on May 21.
Anything making you queasy/sick: Nope.
What I miss:  I feel like I'm at a really good point in my pregnancy so I don't miss much of anything.
What I’m looking forward to: My ultrasound.  I'm also looking forward to my next appointment on May 11.
Symptoms: I had another migraine on Monday and I've had a couple more headaches this week.  Headaches and migraines have been my most consistent symptoms the whole pregnancy.  I've also developed some issues with heartburn.  It's not a huge deal yet, but we'll see how it goes for the remainder of the pregnancy.
Emotions:  I'm really feeling quite happy. And today I mowed the lawn for the first time since being pregnant.  I know it's not a big deal, but it made me feel quite accomplished.  It's nice to  feel like I can still do most of the same activities I did before I was pregnant with minimal discomfort.
